Chilli FM The Hottest Sound on the Coast
Take the hottest sound on the coast with you wherever you drive. Getting Chilli FM playing through your car screen with Android Auto only takes a minute. Here’s how.
You’ll need an Android phone with the Chilli FM app installed, a car or aftermarket stereo that supports Android Auto, and your USB cable. If your car supports wireless Android Auto, you won’t even need the cable.
Start by installing Chilli FM from the Google Play Store. Next, check that Android Auto is ready on your phone. Most Android phones already have it built in, but if yours doesn’t, you can grab it free from the Play Store.
Now connect your phone to your car. If you’re going wired, plug your phone into the car’s USB port (it’s usually the one marked with a small phone or Android Auto icon). If your car does wireless Android Auto, just pair over Bluetooth and it will connect on its own.
When Android Auto appears on your car screen, tap the apps or media icon and choose Chilli FM. You’ll see two tabs. The first one, Chilli FM, is where you tap “Play Chilli FM” to start the live stream. The second, Recently Played, shows you the songs that have aired most recently.
Once it’s playing, you can use your car’s play and pause buttons or the controls on your steering wheel, just like any other radio.
Keep your eyes on the road and let your voice do the work. Just say “Hey Google, play Chilli FM” to start, or “Hey Google, pause” to stop.
Tap the Recently Played tab any time to see the last tracks that aired. It’s handy for those moments when you tune in halfway through a song you love and want to know what it was.
If you’d like the radio to pick up the moment you get in the car, open your Android Auto settings (Settings, then Connected devices, then Android Auto) and switch on “Start music automatically.” Rather start it yourself each time? Leave that setting off and tap “Play Chilli FM” whenever you’re ready.
Can’t find Chilli FM in the app list? Make sure the app is installed and up to date, then unplug and reconnect your phone. No sound? Check your car’s volume and that Chilli FM is set as the media source. You’ll also need a decent mobile signal, since the station streams live. And if your connection drops on the road, don’t worry, Chilli FM reconnects to the live broadcast as soon as your signal comes back.
Enjoy the ride, and thanks for listening to Chilli FM, the hottest sound on the coast.
